A BUSINESSMAN and Zambian resident by refugee status has sued the State and three Somalis, seeking damages for defamation of character, loss of marriage as well as K2.5 million compensation for loss of his business after he was imprisoned for assault. Egeh Abihakim Bussein, who served 10 months in prison, argues that Abdi Ali, Faisal Mohamed and Abdi Nasir gave false information in an attempt to see his business fall due to jealousy and envy as he was their biggest business competitor. Bussein has sued the Attorney General and the three Somalis in the Lusaka High Court, seeking various claims among them damages for the loss of marriage and trauma caused by the imprisonment in the sum of K500,000.00, costs...
