ONE of the two men accused of abducting and raping 13 women in Lusaka has U-turned on his earlier guilty plea in a matter in which he was jointly charged with two others for escaping from lawful custody. James Bwalya, 22, changed his plea to not guilty after facts of the charge were read out to him and his co-accused, Henry Phiri and Christopher Nchenge, before Lusaka magistrate Keegan Litiya yesterday. Meanwhile, magistrate Litiya has sentenced Phiri and Nchenge to one-year imprisonment for escaping from Mwembeshi prisons.
