THE Lusaka Magistrate’s Court has deferred Raphael Nakacinda’s bail pending appeal ruling in a matter where he was slapped with six months’ imprisonment with hard labour for expressing hatred, ridicule or contempt for persons because of tribe and place of origin. In December last year, Magistrate Idah Phiri Mupemo convicted Nakacinda and ruled that the sentence would run concurrently with an existing 18-month jail term he is currently serving for defaming President Hakainde Hichilema.
