A 26-YEAR-OLD Zimbabwean lecturer at Eden University has appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court for working at the institution without a work permit. In this matter, Tonderai Takunda Mutwa is charged with the offence of engaging in paid employment without a permit contrary to section 54 read with 56(1) of the immigration and Deportation Act No.18 of 2010 of the laws of Zambia. Particulars of the offence are that between April 24, 2025, and March 8, 2026, in Lusaka, Mutwa engaged in paid employment at Eden University, contrary to the Immigration and Deportation Act.
