Commonwealth SG visits HH again, to hold talks with UPND

Commonwealth Secretary General Rt Hon Patricia Scotland QC has met with President Edgar Lungu to brief him on her mission visit to Mukobeko Maximum Prison yesterday.

According to Smart Eagles, Special Assistant to President for Press and and Public Relations Amos Chanda told journalists that Scotland communicated the outcome of her meeting with UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and made some proposals on the way forward.

Scotland has since returned to Kabwe to hold further talks and later in the day she will meet other leaders of the United Party for National Development (UPND).

The Secretary General will in due course make an announcement once she has concluded the consultations with all relevant parties.
