Police this morning picked up a decomposed headless body of a man believed to be in his early twenties which packed in a 50kg bag in Lusaka’s Chibolya compound.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo confirmed this in a statement saying the body also had both legs and arms amputated.

Katongo revealed that the body was discovered by members of the public between 08:00 hours and 09:00 hours in a structure adjustment to a main house within Chibolya.

Katongo stated that the body had since been taken to Leopards Hill cemetery awaiting postmortem in readiness for burial.

“We have a report of murder where a body was found in a decomposed state, body of a male person packed in a 50kg bag with some body parts, both legs, arms, amputated and also without a head, all the said body parts missing. The same victim is in his early twenties and was discovered by members of the public between 08:30 and 09:00 hours in a structure adjacent to the main house in Chibolya compound. Police officers went to the scene and body picked and taken to Leopards hill cemetery to await postmortem in readiness for burial,” stated Katongo.
