President Edgar Lungu has appointed Mulenga Emmanuel Pamu as the new permanent secretary in charge of budget and economic affairs at the Ministry of Finance, taking over from Pamela Kabamba, who moves in the same capacity to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Kabamba will be responsible for the Commission for Refugees, Immigration, Archives and the Registrar of Societies.

The President has promoted Andrew Nkunika from director to the post of Permanent Secretary responsible for legislative drafting at the Ministry of Justice.

The Head of State has elevated Dr Martin Mtonga’s position of National Coordinator of the Smart Centre Zambia to the level of Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet. The nomenclature of the post remains the same.

The President has transferred Ministry off Tourism and Arts Permanent Secretary Dr Liya Mutale to the Ministry of Community Development and Social Welfare, swapping her with Reverend Dr Howard Sikwela.

Ministry of Sports Youth and Child Development Permanent Secretary Agness Nsunga swaps with her counterpart at Ministry of Works and Supply, Joe Kapembwa.

Professor Elwyn Chomba has been transferred from the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Ministry of Health for further deployment.

This is according to a statement issued by State House press aide Amos Chanda today.
