Police in Choma have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of Clive Wixely, a white farmer who was shot dead last month and had K149,000 stolen from him.

Southern Province Police Commissioner, Bonny Kapeso, said the suspects are Winford Hachibone, 40, of Kakoyo village, chief Macha and Jackson Mbandama, 20, of Polo village, chief Sipatunyana both of Kalomo district.

Kapeso said the duo were arrested at Zimba town two days ago after a tip from members of the public, adding that they are charged with two counts of murder and aggravated robbery and that they will appear in court soon.

Clive Wixely was brutally murdered by unknown persons after withdrawing K149,000, which he intended to pay his workers as salaries.

The incident occurred early last month between 09:00 and 12:00 hours at the entrance of Duba 5 farm in Choma.
