Transport and Communications Minister Mutotwe Kafwaya has dissolved the Zambia Information and Communications Authority (ZICTA) and ZAMPOST boards.

In a statement, Monday, Kafwaya thanked the members for their contribution to the nation.

“In accordance with section 4 part 1 of the Zambia Information and Communications Authority Act No. 15 of 2009 and the powers vested in me thereof, I have decided to dissolve the board of ZICTA with immediate effect. Further, in accordance with the first schedule (section 3) of the Postal Services Act, I have decided to dissolve the ZAMPOST Board with immediate effect. I want to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing members of the ZICTA and ZAMPOST boards for their contribution to the nation while serving as members of the boards during their tenure. I wish them well in their endeavors,” read the statement.
