THE Bank of Zambia has written Artel, demanding that the company corrects the false declaration that President Hakainde Hichilema’s advisor Jito Kayumba made in the 2020 Annual Report to the effect that he sits on the Central Bank Board. But Kayumba has explained that the declaration was erroneously made because Airtel “condensed” the information that he provided. Kayumba who was Airtel Board member and now Presidential advisor for economic affairs had made a declaration that he serves on other boards including Bank of Zambia, Pensions and Insurance Board Authority regulations, and other companies across various sectors.
