FORMER labour minister Fackson Shamenda has urged government to reconsider the issue of paying civil servants according to their contribution, saying it’s a recipe for unfairness and corruption. Emoluments Commission Acting Director General Mwamba Peni recently said civil servants would be paid according to their contribution, arguing that gone were the days when they drew salaries for simply reporting for work.
