HOME Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu has urged DEC officers to be diligent in their work saying only they can clear the public perception that they only target ‘small fish’ for money laundering cases. Speaking during their 21st Senior Officers’ Conference in Lusaka, Thursday, Mwiimbu urged the commission to work closely with the government of the day and other stakeholders in order to fulfil its mandate. “There is a perception by the general public that the Drug Enforcement Commission officers when dealing with money laundering cases are only concentrating on the small fish and leaving out the big fish.
