HEALTH Minister Sylvia Masebo has revealed that Mwansabombwe District of Luapula Province has seven confirmed cases of cholera, but no deaths have been recorded so far. Addressing the media, Monday, Masebo said Vubwi District has so far recorded a cumulative 42 cases of cholera and one death. “The Government of Zambia through a multisectoral approach continues to respond to cholera outbreaks and threats in the country. Sadly, in addition to Vubwi District, Mwansabombwe District of Luapula province is experiencing a cholera outbreak since 26th January 2023.
