HEALTH Minister Sylva Masebo has apologised to medical doctors over the manner in which she recently spoke about theft of drugs in public hospitals, but says it is important to acknowledge the vice. And Masebo says she will table the issue of doctors working in public hospitals having two or three other jobs, to the detriment of patients, to Cabinet so that a policy decision can be made. Meanwhile, the Zambia Orthopaedic and Trauma Association (ZOTA) says it strongly detests Masebo’s “confrontational approach” against doctors and other health workers.
