FINANCE Minister Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane yesterday updated the House that debt restructuring had freed up $5.8 billion which could now be used for development projects. And Dr Musokotwane says prior to the debt restructuring agreement, the Kwacha had been taking a hit because the country lost about $800 million when non residents who were skeptical pulled their investments from treasury bonds. Meanwhile, Dr Musokotwane has apologised for delays in resolving issues at Mopani and KCM, promising that he will now focus on that.
