FORMER Labour Minister Fackson Shamenda says the law indeed allows employers to structure conditions of service for workers based on what they can afford, but says what’s important is for employers to be honest. On Monday, Labour Minister Brenda Tambatamba urged employers who could not afford the minimum wage to restructure their conditions of service and pay workers on an hourly or weekly basis.
