PF member Chishimba Kambwili’s lawyer Kennedy Mambwe has confirmed that government has evacuated his client to South Africa for medical treatment. On Saturday, Health Minister Sylvia Masebo said Kambwili would be evacuated to South Africa for medical treatment either Sunday or Monday because he was in bad condition upon his return from Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jack Mwiimbu last week refuted claims that government had confiscated Kambwili’s passport, saying the opposition leader actually illegally crossed over into Zimbabwe and his emissary left his passport at the border after being queried.
