THE Zambia Police Service has disclosed that during the first quarter of 2024, it recorded 9,700 Gender Based Violence cases countrywide, compared to 10,797 cases recorded last year during the same period. And Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga says Lusaka province recorded the highest number of GBV and defilement cases during the period under review. In a statement, Saturday, Hamoonga explained that compared to the same period last year, GBV cases had reduced by 1,097.
