ZAMBIA Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) Secretary General Joy Beene has called on government to ensure that employers failing to implement the minimum wage are given serious penalties. Giving his reflection on Labour Day commemoration, Wednesday, Beene said the economy was biting and there was need to punish employers who were failing to implement the minimum wage. “So we urge government through the Ministry of Labour to give serious penalties to those who are failing to implement.
