LABOUR and Social Security Minister Brenda Tambatamba has disclosed that over 15,000 employers were prosecuted between 2020 and 2024 for failing to remit statutory workers’ contributions. The minister was speaking in the National Assembly, Tuesday, while responding to Kanchibiya PF MP Sunday Chanda, who wanted to find out the measures taken to enforce statutory deductions for NAPSA, NHIMA and the Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB), and the number of employers sanctioned between 2020 and 2024.
