PEOPLE’s Party leader Sebastian Kopulande says the arrest of Brian Mundubile is part of the growing and troubling pattern of political repression in Zambia. Dr Kopulande says as the elections are drawing nearer, it’s becoming evident that the UPND government is choosing the path of intimidation over persuasion. Commenting on the recent arrest of the Tonse Alliance faction leader for the offence of Aiding, Abetting and Counselling to commit Hate Speech, Dr Kopulande said what was being witnessed was the systematic use of laws to silence opposition leaders.
