PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has appointed nominated MP Likando Mufalali as UPND Chairperson for elections, replacing Gary Nkombo. Meanwhile, Nkombo has expressed his deep gratitude to President Hichilema for allowing him to serve in that position for nine years, saying that while he may have missed the mark in his role as chairperson, he remains indebted to him. Mufalali previously served the UPND as deputy chairperson for elections, a position he held for close to three years.
