EDUCATION Minister Douglas Syakalima has warned that teachers who abandon rural schools will be removed from the payroll. Syakalima has also disclosed that recruitment of 2000 teachers is underway. Syakalima was responding to a question from Kalabo MP Chinga Miyutu in the National Assembly who wanted to find out what measures the government had put in place to improve teacher-pupil ratio in rural areas.
