ACTIONAID Country Director Faides Tembatemba says the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) should have disqualified the UPND from participating in the upcoming elections following the confusion in the adoption process. Tembatemba adds that the amended Electoral Process Act gives the ECZ power to suspend or disqualify a political party or candidate for breach of code of conduct, stating that ECZ would have disqualified the opposition for acting the way UPND acted.
