ZCTU has launched its Workers’ Manifesto, calling on aspiring candidates to outline their commitments to workers’ rights and decent jobs ahead of the elections. The Union says politicians who fail to address concerns contained in the manifesto should not expect the support of workers. Speaking during the launch, Thursday, ZCTU Secretary General Dr Joy Beene said the manifesto was intended to help workers assess political parties based on policies that address their economic and social concerns rather than campaign promises.
