LUSAKA Mayor Chitambala Mwewa says today will be the last day for street vendors to operate in undesignated areas, warning that the council will begin enforcing the directive tomorrow. Recently, the Lusaka City Council (LCC) directed all street vendors trading in undesignated areas to vacate the streets and return to their allocated market spaces by September 29, 2026. The council warned that vendors who fail to comply risk losing their allocated trading spaces.
