WE CANNOT agree more with former attorney general Musa Mwenye who says a lot of Presidents have been destroyed by praise singers. What the learned State Counsel said when he featured on ZNBC’s Sunday Interview is something that our politicians don’t like to hear, especially when they ascend to power. But it is true that informed and principled criticism is what builds good leaders, rather than praise singers. MWENYE: Our commitment as citizens should be to keep our government honest because you see, I have always been of the view that sycophancy destroys presidents.
