THE transfer of 10 magistrates out of Lusaka is legal, and may have all good intentions, but people are raising eyebrows because, in our view, the timing is wrong. Of course, this is not the first time and it will also not be the last that magistrates or indeed judges are being moved from one town to another. Those who serve in public offices are aware that they might be transferred to a rather remote town at any time and they have no option but to oblige.
