MANY critics have poured scorn on the IMF programme, calling it a toxic loan. But this is a necessary evil. What the UPND has done is inevitable and is an achievement that even the previous administration tried to chase after for so many years, but without success. This will surely restore our credibility as a country, as we acknowledge our domestic and external debt. Of course, we shouldn’t be celebrating a mere debt restructuring programme.
