PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has honoured and conferred the Order of the Eagle of Zambia, 1st Division, on three former African Heads of State for their contributions in the promotion and advancement of democracy. Those honoured include former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo, former president of Sierra Leone Ernest Bai Koroma and Liberia’s former president Ellen Sirleaf Johnson. President Hichilema described Obasanjo as a true statesman who believed in true democracy and had a passion for serving humanity in Nigeria, Africa and beyond the African continent.
