MPIKA PF MP Francis Kapyanga says he expects government to harmonise the gold issue in his constituency this year. In an interview, Monday, Kapyanga said the people of Mpika had objected to the awarding of 142,000 hectares of land to a foreign entity which seeks to conduct some exploration exercise because they wanted locals to benefit first. “We expect to harmonise, we expect to have meetings with the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development so that we can agree on the way forward.
