MINISTER of Transport and Logistics Frank Tayali has called off the planned closure of Mfuwe International Airport for rehabilitation works, stating that it would have caused serious disruptions to the tourism industry’s operations. Zambia Airports Corporation Limited (ZACL) Board Chairperson Zevyanji Sinkala recently disclosed that Mfuwe International Airport would be temporarily closed for three months to facilitate rehabilitation works. He added that all domestic air traffic would be diverted to Chipata Airport during the period of closure.
