MDC spokesperson Kafula Mubanga has resigned from both his position and the party. And MDC Deputy Media Director Edmond Miti has distanced the party from Dr Mubanga’s past attacks on Energy Minister Peter Kapala and other government officials, saying those were his personal opinions. Despite belonging to a party which is in an active alliance with the ruling UPND, Dr Mubanga, who is also Oil Marketing Companies president, has been strongly speaking on energy issues in the country, particularly on fuel.
