THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has approved Zesco’s application for emergency tariffs. On 1st October, Zesco reapplied for the approval of an emergency tariff adjustment on its Residential, Commercial and Maximum Demand customer categories for a period of three months. According to Zesco’s reapplication, customers that consume less than 200 units per month will experience a reduction in their monthly electricity bills, with intent to provide relief to low-income households and ensure access to affordable electricity.
