Government has signed commercial agreements with two Israeli Companies TAHAR ZRB and Green 2000 in the Agricultural sector.
Agriculture Minister Micheal Katambo said the financing agreement which will be finalized next week will allow the two named foreign companies establish farming blocks where Zambian Farmers will be trained in more agriculture techniques.
According to a statement issued by First Secretary for Press and Tourism at the Zambian Embassy in Ethiopia Inutu Mwanza, the minister was speaking when he made a stopover in Addis Ababa after attending an Agricultural Expo in Israel.
Katambo said the investors would bring with them mechanized equipment that will also encourage Zambian farmers not to wholly rely on rain fed agriculture.
Meanwhile Katambo said the Israeli Government had increased scholarships for Zambians training in Agriculture from 15 to 30.
And Mr. Katambo said President Lungu has warned that he will not entertain any hiccups in the distribution of imports in this farming season.

And Katambo assured farmers that the challenges faced with the use of the E-Voucher would not be experienced during the 2018 farming season.
He said through the introduction of e-voucher system, government had saved about 1 billion kwacha as many Ghost workers and middle men had been cut out of the system.
