LUKASHYA PF MP George Chisanga says there is nothing in the current Constitution that prevents President Hakainde Hichilema from appointing more women to leadership positions. On Wednesday, State House Chief Communications Specialist Clayson Hamasaka assured citizens that President Hichilema’s desire to amend the Constitution stemmed from good intentions, emphasising that he did not wish to extend his rule indefinitely. Hamasaka noted that even while in opposition, the UPND supported initiatives such as delimitation and increasing women’s participation in leadership, objectives they are currently pushing for in the constitutional amendments.
