THE National Union of Public and Private Educators of Zambia (NUPPEZ) has urged government to prioritise teacher deployment based on the year of graduation to avoid discouraging earlier graduates. Recently, government said it had applied for treasury authority to recruit teachers and healthcare workers by the end of 2025. Teaching Service Commission (TSC) Chairperson Daphne Chimuka said once treasury authority was granted, the Commission would use the 2022 system to recruit teachers but would also advertise for new applications to create a database.
