THE annual inflation rate for February has reduced by 1.9 percentage points to 7.5 percent from 9.4 percent recorded in January 2026. President Hakainde Hichilema has toasted to the reduction, stressing that prices will now begin to stabilise. During the 2026 budget presentation, Finance and National Planning Minister Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane indicated that the country aimed to maintain the inflation rate between six to eight percent.
