PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has been declared UPND’s presidential candidate for the August 13th elections. Before making the declaration, Independent Electoral Commission Chairperson Isaac Mwanza informed the general assembly that the Commission had received three petitions against President Hichilema’s election as party president, but after examination they were found to lack merit and were dismissed.
