THE Timber Producers Association of Zambia (TPAZ) has opposed governments’ move to engage the Zambia National Service (ZNS) to identify and collect all illegally harvested Mukula logs lying across the country. TPAZ president Charles Masange has proposed that the illegally harvested Mukula logs be disposed off through auction centres established by players in the sector. On Monday, Green Economy and Environment Minister Collins Nzovu revealed that government had engaged ZNS to identify and collect all illegally harvested Mukula logs lying across the country.
