MINISTER of Agriculture Reuben Mtolo Phiri says government has no plans to increase the number of FISP beneficiaries, as the programme is not sustainable in its current form. He says FISP is merely a support mechanism to help farmers improve productivity, adding that government policy is to promote other initiatives like the Sustainable Agriculture Financing Facility (SAFF).
