THE Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ) says if the country fails to handle elections well, inflation risks rising beyond the target band of 6.8 percent set by the Central Bank. On Thursday, the Zambia Statistics Agency (ZAMSTATS) announced that the annual inflation rate for May 2026 dropped by 0.2 percentage points, from 6.8 percent to 6.6 percent.
