THE matter in which former defence minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba is facing charges of conflict of interest, money laundering, among others, could not take off yesterday as the accused is reportedly unwell and admitted to the hospital. Mwamba was initially jointly charged with Adolphus Mubanga, a country representative for Curzon Global Limited. Mwamba was charged with eight counts of conflict of interest, one count of money laundering and 15 counts of being in possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime, whereas Mubanga was facing three counts of being in possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.
