A 44-YEAR-OLD businessman has been committed to the High Court for sentencing after the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court found him guilty of defiling seven children under the age of 16. Magistrate Crispin Hampungani rejected the accused’s defence that he had diabetes and therefore could not defile the children, stating that diabetes does not make all those with it sexually inactive. In this matter, Richard Mwanza, a businessman of Kabanana Township in Lusaka, is facing seven counts of defilement.
