The Football association has announced that it will unveil a new head coach next week.

FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala says the expatriate is expected in the country to finalise the recruitment process and to sign the employment contract.

“The Football Association of Zambia, in view of the urgency of the matter, will finalise the process to appoint the national team coach. The candidate is expected in the country next week to finalise recruitment process and to sign the employment contract. Government as a major stakeholder has been notified accordingly. Further details will be availed next week,” Kashala said.

Zambia has had no head coach since the departure of Belgian trainer Sven Vandenbroeck in February. Green Eagles coach Aggrey Chiyangi has been acting in the interim capacity.

FAZ has conducted interviews in the past months in a bid to recruit a coach.
