ZAMBIA has defeated South Africa 3-0 in its second match of the COSAFA Under-20 Women’s Championship at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) Stadium yesterday. Second half goals from Ruth Muwowo, Saliya Mwanza and Jessy Zulu gifted Charles Haluboono’s lasses victory to add to the 9-0 thrashing of Lesotho in the first match played on Tuesday. Zambia started the match as the better side and almost went ahead five minutes after kick off when Jessy Zulu tried her luck from a freekick which was pushed away by Casey Gordon for a Zambian corner.
