ALBERT Muteba, producer of The Boy Who Became President, has clarified that the highly anticipated film about President Hakainde Hichilema is a low-budget, independent project, costing US$100,000, and has received no funding from State House. The film, set to premiere in April 2026, will be filmed in Namwala, Lusaka and the UK and is now at an advanced stage, with Muteba saying he is only waiting for the presidency’s go-ahead to shoot a few final scenes.
