Employees at Wolf Park Security, a security company hired by the Copperbelt University (CBU) in Kitwe yesterday downed tools demanding their two months unpaid salaries from the university management.

And CBU Director for External Relations Nchimunya Silenga confirmed the development, saying the issue was being addressed by management.

The guards yesterday closed the main entrance to the Copperbelt University, as they complained over unpaid salaries and vowed not to resume work until management pays them their dues.

But when contacted, Silenga said management had talked to the guards and they had agreed to resume work.

“That is a company that we have hired and yes they downed tools this morning (yesterday) but the issue is being addressed by management. So they have resolved to go back to work,” said Silenga.
