President Edgar Lungu has reshuffled Cabinet, moving Professor Nkandu Luo to the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, while Ronald Chitotela has been moved to the Ministry of Tourism.

And the President has fired Sports Minister Moses Mawere.

Announcing the changes at State House today, President Lungu’s spokespersons Isaac Chipampe said Sylvia Chalikosa has been transferred to the Ministry of Works and Supply, taking over from Mutotwe Kafwaya who goes to the Ministry of Transport.

Chipampe said Brian Mushimba has been moved to the Ministry of Higher Education, taking over from Prof Luo leaving a newly appointed minister Emmanuel Mulenga in charge of Youths and Sports.

Tourism Minister Charles Banda goes to the Ministry of Local Government while Vincent Mwale has been appointed in charge of Housing and Infrastructure Development, taking over from Chitotela.

Kampamba Mulenga who was at Fisheries goes to the Ministry of Community Development while Olipa Phiri goes to the office of the Vice President, taking over from Chalikosa.

The President has also appointed Dr Francis Chipimo as new Deputy Governor at the Bank of Zambia.
