HEALTH Minister Sylvia Masebo has cautioned that unhealthy diets, insufficient physical activity, and harmful use of alcohol may increase the likelihood of one developing cancer. Speaking during the commemoration of World Cancer Day and International Childhood Cancer Day, Saturday, Masebo said a healthy lifestyle was cardinal in cancer prevention. “It is important to note that approximately 30 percent of cancers can be prevented by avoiding or controlling lifestyles that are known to cause cancer. A further 40 percent is curable for as long as cancer is diagnosed early.
